Due artisti, quattro mani, un tavolo luminoso, un proiettore, musica e sabbia. Questi sono i semplici ingredienti che creano una nuova forma di spettacolo estremamente coinvolgente e imprevedibile, dove lo spettatore è incoraggiato a perdersi in un proprio immaginario, per essere poi ricondotto all’interno della narrazione.
La SandArt è un linguaggio visivo puramente analogico, che si nutre di una tecnica raffinata e di invenzione. E di ritmo. Ritmo con il quale luce (il tavolo luminoso) e ombra (la sabbia) si legano, si amano e si dominano vicendevolmente per creare disegni inaspettati e profondamente poetici.
Con questa tecnica, gli artisti Massimo Racozzi (illustratore e visual designer) e Fabio Babich (fumettista e pittore) mettono in scena in un’opera originale creata per il FEFF27, la loro interpretazione delle yōkai femminili e come esse possano mettere in discussione le convenzioni sociali.

SandArt is a purely analogical visual language based around invention, refined technique and rhythm. Rhythm that makes light (the light table) and shadow (the sand) bond, fall in love and dominate each other to create unexpected and deeply poetic images.
Using this technique, artists Massimo Racozzi (illustrator and visual designer) and Fabio Babich (cartoonist and painter) perform an original piece created for FEFF27: their interpretation of female yōkai and how these can call social conventions into question.

L’antica tradizione della cerimonia del tè si è formata in Giappone nel quindicesimo e sedicesimo secolo ed è continuata fino ad oggi. Poco conosciuta in Occidente, è tra le arti giapponesi più diffuse e rappresentative della cultura del paese: la pratica di un banale gesto quotidiano è diventata una vera e propria via di perfezionamento spirituale, che attualizza gli aspetti principali dello Zen attraverso gesti e frasari ben definiti.  Il rituale verrà eseguito dalla maestra giapponese Mami Hamada.

The ancient tradition of the tea ceremony began in the Japan of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and continues today. Little known in the West, it is among the most widespread and representative arts of Japanese culture: a common daily routine has become a means of spiritual betterment which puts the main aspects of Zen into practice, using highly codified gestures and phrases. The ritual will be performed by the Japanese teacher Mami Hamada.

Il Teatro Palamostre ospita un’installazione audiovisiva dell’artista Betty Apple, protagonista assoluta della Pink Night 2025, e della performer e sound artist millacu che curerà una selezione musicale che accompagnerà il pubblico nell’universo creativo di Betty Apple.
L’opera dell’artista taiwanese e mistica digitale Betty Apple vi introdurrà nel mondo di Beta: sirena futuristica, creatura di una dimensione alternativa che viaggia sulla Terra nel tempo e nello spazio, atterrando sull’isola di Taiwan nel 2021.
In un’avventura che la porta ad assorbire energie fantastiche da un Dragon Palace nelle profondità marine, prima di trasformarsi in umana, Beta vive un “risveglio da sirena” in chiave digitale e contemporanea. Attraverso quest’opera, Betty sovverte l’immagine stereotipata e patriarcale della sirena. Dal costume da sirena ai giganteschi seni in silicone, la sua avventura Queer, Punk e Sci-Fi riscrive il significato sia di IT Girl che di Information Technology, con un personaggio surreale e immagini evocative.
La ricerca musicale di millacu trae ispirazione dal quotidiano ed esplora i rapporti che esistono tra paesaggio e presenza. Attraverso la rielaborazione del suono registrato, strumentale e della voce, millacu si muove tra atmosfere ambient, corali e sonorità sperimentali, intrecciando a volte ritmi uptempo e deconstructed nei suoi set.
Nella sala Carmelo Bene, lo spazio della performance, il pubblico potrà muoversi liberamente. La location è accanto al Contatto Bar, rinnovato per nuova gestione, che rimarrà aperto durante l’evento.

L’opera audiovisiva è stata realizzata dal celebre collettivo queer taiwanese MW Studio, interamente girata con un iPhone 12 ProMax in luoghi iconici della costa nord di Taiwan, tra cui il Tempio delle Conchiglie e il Mercato del Pesce.
Il lavoro è stato commissionato e presentato dal Melbourne Fringe come parte del Fringe Focus Taiwan, con il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura della Repubblica di Cina (Taiwan) e del Cultural Division del Taipei Economic and Cultural Office di Sydney.

The Teatro Palamostre will present an immersive audiovisual installation by Betty Apple, the standout artist of Pink Night 2025, together with performer and sound artist millacu, who will guide you through a sonic journey into Apple’s visionary world.
Taiwanese artist and digital mystic Betty Apple invites the audience into the universe of Beta: a futuristic mermaid, creature from an alternate dimension who travels through time and land on the Earth; falling on to the island of Taiwan in 2021.
In an adventure that sees her absorb fantastical energy from a Dragon Palace under the sea before turning into a human, she undergoes a mermaid awakening that adopts a modern digital slant. Using experimental rap music and videos, Betty overthrows the stereotypical, patriarchal image of mermaids. From the mermaid costume to the gigantic silicon breasts, Betty’s Taiwanese Queer Punk Sci-Fi adventure redefines the meaning of both the IT Girl and Information Technology with a surreal character and moving imagery.
millacu is an Italian performer and sound artist. Her music research draws inspiration from everyday life and explores the relationships between landscape and presence. By re-imagining recorded sounds, instruments and vocals, millacu moves between genres involving ambient, choral and experimental, sometimes drawing intersections of uptempo and deconstructed rhythms in her sets.
The performance location is Carmelo Bene hall, where the audience will be free to move around, located right next to the newly renovated Bar Contatto.

This AV installation work is filmed by the famous queer Taiwanese filming crew: MW Studio. The work was filmed with iPhone 12 ProMax in the iconic site of the northern coast in Taiwan, including the Temple of Shells and the Fish Market.
This work is commissioned and presented by Melbourne Fringe as part of Fringe Focus Taiwan, supported by The Ministry of Culture, Republic of China (Taiwan) and Cultural Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney.

La Giornata Mondiale del Taijiquan e QiGong viene celebrata in tutto il mondo, in occasione della nascita di Zhang San Feng, figura leggendaria considerata il fondatore del Taijiquan. Un’occasione per diffondere, condividere e sperimentare le arti marziali interne cinesi, promuovendo equilibrio e benessere.
Ogni anno, a partire dalle 10 del mattino nei vari fusi orari, i gruppi di praticanti danno vita a una grande onda di energia positiva con dimostrazioni e lezioni gratuite, unendo persone di ogni età e livello di esperienza offrendo un momento di incontro, dialogo e scambio tra scuole e appassionati.

World Taijiquan and QiGong Day is celebrated all over the world on the anniversary of the birth of Zhang San Feng, a legendary figure who is considered the founder of Taijiquan. An opportunity to spread, share and experience Chinese internal martial arts and promote balance and well-being.
Every year, starting at 10 am in the various time zones, groups of practitioners join together in demonstrations and free lessons to produce an immense wave of positive energy, uniting people of all ages and levels of experience and offering the possibility for exchange and dialogue between schools and enthusiasts.

Pronti ad essere trasportati con la mente in Estremo Oriente? Nel cuore del centro storico di Udine si susseguiranno per un’ora esibizioni di arti marziali che vedranno protagonisti atleti, adulti e bambini, provenienti da diverse scuole.

Le scuole protagoniste di domenica 27 aprile saranno l’A.s.d Corpo Libero, guidata da Francesco Callegari per il wushu e il sanda, e da Livio Licitra per lo iaidō; la scuola Tecniche Arti Orientali di Mario Antoldi con il tai ji quan; il Shin Musashi Dojo di Mami Hamada con il kendo; la scuola Shinigami no Yūrei, rappresentata da Carmine De Rita per il karate, affiliata alla federazione Japan Traditional Karate sotto la guida del maestro Masahiko Tanaka e all’Accademia Karate Studio Italia del maestro Ludovico Ciccarelli; il Motokukan Dojo con Alessandro Chiancone in collaborazione con lo Yuukai Dojo di Marco Di Roio per l’aikidō; la scuola Ryushin Shouchi Ryu per lo iaijutsu; e l’A.s.d. Scuola Kung Fu Shaolin Ch’uan di Claudio Battistoni con lo shaolinquan.

Per una preview vi aspettiamo anche sabato 26 aprile, sempre sotto la Loggia di San Giovanni, con la scuola A.s.d. Planet Sport e Fabio Maglione e la loro esibizione di jujutsu e iaido.

Ready to be transported to the Far East? In the heart of Udine’s historic centre, spectators will enjoy a one-hour showcase of martial arts demonstrations featuring both adults and children from a variety of schools.

Taking part will be A.s.d Corpo Libero, with Francesco Callegari presenting wushu and sanda, and Livio Licitra demonstrating iaidō. Tecniche Arti Orientali will take to the stage with Mario Antoldi performing tai ji quan. Shin Musashi Dojo, led by Mami Hamada, will demonstrate the discipline of kendo. The school Shinigami no Yūrei will present karate with Carmine De Rita, affiliated with the Japan Traditional Karate federation under Master Masahiko Tanaka, and with the Accademia Karate Studio Italia led by Master Ludovico Ciccarelli. Motokukan Dojo, represented by Alessandro Chiancone, will join forces with Marco Di Roio of Yuukai Dojo to showcase aikidō. Ryushin Shouchi Ryu will demonstrate iaijutsu, while A.s.d. Scuola Kung Fu Shaolin Ch’uan, with Claudio Battistoni, will present shaolinquan.

Nel corso della storia, i samurai hanno impugnato spade e lance, ma soprattutto si sono distinti per l’uso dell’arco, un’arma fondamentale nelle battaglie e nelle cerimonie.
L’arte dell’arcieria giapponese si è evoluta attraverso i secoli, adattandosi a esigenze e contesti diversi: si tirava in piedi, in ginocchio, a cavallo o seduti sullo zafu; le distanze variavano dai 28 ai 120 metri; si utilizzavano guanti di varia fattura, rigidi o morbidi, con tre, quattro o cinque dita; le punte delle frecce potevano essere acuminate, a forcella, a forma di foglia di salice o persino fischianti.
Questo viaggio attraverso la storia e le tecniche del kyūdō verrà raccontato da un “ite” (tiratore) con oltre 30 anni di esperienza nella disciplina.

The samurai used swords and spears, but above all they distinguished themselves for their use of the bow, a vital weapon in battles and ceremonies.
The art of Japanese archery evolved over the centuries, adapting to a range of needs and situations: the samurai shot standing, kneeling, on horseback or sitting on the zafu; distances varied from 28 to 120 metres; rigid or soft gloves of various types with three, four or five fingers were used; arrowheads could be sharp, forked, willow leaf-shaped or even whistling.
This journey through the history and techniques of kyūdō will be led by an “ite” (shooter) with over 30 years of experience in the discipline.
