Lo street food asiatico arriva al Far East Film Festival! Grazie alla collaborazione con lo STREEAT® Food Truck Festival, per la prima volta, ci sarà un corner di cucina giapponese a Udine. Il Paese del Sol Levante ha una tradizione gastronomica antichissima, vantando una grande tradizione di street food. Per questa occasione i food trucks presenti, prepareranno un’ampia selezione di prelibatezze orientali. Dall’Onigiri, triangolino di riso con un pezzo di alga presente in qualsiasi manga ed anime, alle squisite polpette takoyaki, polpo impastato con una pastella a base di farina di grano, zenzero e cipolla. Piatto tipico ed emblema dello street food giapponese è l’Okonomiyaki, che si traduce in okonomi ciò che vuoi e yaki alla griglia. Quindi tutto ciò che vuoi alla griglia, e non è un semplice modo di dire! Infine, forse il dolce più conosciuto del Giappone grazie al cartone animato Doraemon: i dorayaki, tipici dolcetti composti da due piccoli simil-pancake sovrapposti, conditi con l’anko (marmellata di fagioli rossi). Ideali per uno spuntino dolce e veloce tra l’intervallo di un film e l’altro.

Asian street food comes to the Far East Film Festival! Thanks to the collaboration with the STREEAT® Food Truck Festival, Udine will for the first time have its own Japanese cuisine corner. The Land of the Rising Sun has an ancient gastronomic tradition, and boasts an incredible range of street food. The food trucks present will be cooking a vast selection of Asian delicacies, from Onigiri – the triangles of rice wrapped in a piece of seaweed that are omnipresent in every manga and anime – to exquisite takoyaki, balls of wheat flour batter filled with chopped octopus, ginger and onion. And there’ll also be emblematic Japanese street food Okonomiyaki, which translates as okonomi – whatever you want – and yaki – grilled. So, whatever you want grilled – and when they say ‘whatever’, they’re not just talking! Finally, perhaps the best-known dessert in Japan thanks to the cartoon Doraemon: dorayaki, typical sweets made up of two small pancake-like desserts topped with anko (red bean jam). Ideal for a quick sweet snack between movies.
