Lo shodō, la calligrafia giapponese, è una delle arti nipponiche più popolari, tanto che le opere calligrafiche sono apprezzate non meno di quelle pittoriche. Nulla è lasciato al caso nella calligrafia giapponese: i simboli sono armonici, proporzionati ed equilibrati. Quest’arte è collegata alla filosofia e alla meditazione, e aiuta a mantenere la calma e la pazienza. Il laboratorio di shodō offre la possibilità di imparare le tecniche base di quest’arte, l’uso dei pennelli, la scrittura del proprio nome, una parola o una frase significativa.

The calligraphy known as shodō is one of the most popular of the Japanese arts, and works of calligraphy are appreciated as much as paintings. Nothing is left to chance in Japanese calligraphy: the symbols are harmonious, well-proportioned and balanced. It is an art which is linked to philosophy and meditation, and helps teach calm and patience. This workshop offers participants the chance to learn the basic techniques of shodō art and how to use the brushes to write their name, a word or a phrase that is important to them.
