I libri rilegati a fascicoli compaiono in Giappone nel periodo Heian: erano volumi raffinati, utilizzati per la poesia, il teatro Nō e la letteratura autoctona. Questa struttura permette l’apertura completa del volume. La sua cucitura è piuttosto articolata, necessita perciò di una certa attenzione e manualità. Il laboratorio, preceduto da una breve introduzione storica, è volto alla realizzazione di un quaderno in stile tetsuyousou, rispettando schema e dimensioni tradizionali; la copertina sarà in vera carta washi. Gli elaborati rimarranno ai partecipanti.

Books bound in multiple sections first appeared in Japan in the Heian period: they were refined volumes, used for poetry, Noh theater and literature and the structure allowed the volumes to be opened completely. The stitching is complex and therefore requires a certain amount of attention and manual skill. This workshop, preceded by a brief historical introduction, is aimed at creating a tetsuyousou-style notebook, respecting traditional layout and dimensions and with a cover made of real washi paper. Participants will be able to take their creations home with them.
