KINTSUGI: L’ARTE DI RIPARARE CON L’ORO

Questo laboratorio inizierà con un momento di condivisione di quelle che sono le criticità, le difficoltà e le crepe che ognuno porta con sé, scrivendo su dei cartoncini dorati le parole simbolo che le rappresentano. Ciascun partecipante è invitato a portare con sé una tazza, un piatto o una ciotola di ceramica a cui è particolarmente legato: l’attività proseguirà con la riparazione di questo oggetto, utilizzando la tecnica artistica giapponese del kintsugi, che mette in risalto e impreziosisce le crepe riparandole con l’oro, ridando vita a oggetti che splendono proprio per le loro imperfezioni. A opera completata inseriremo al loro interno i cartoncini dorati delle nostre fragilità, portando a termine questa esperienza introspettiva, intensa e personale che di molto si allontana da un laboratorio artistico classico.

This workshop will begin with a moment for sharing the problems, issues, difficulties and ‘damage’ that each of us carries within, the symbolic words representing which will be written on golden cards. Each participant is invited to bring with them a cup, plate or ceramic bowl to which they are particularly attached: we will then begin working on the repair of this object using the Japanese artistic technique of kintsugi which highlights and embellishes cracks by repairing them with gold, giving life to objects that shine precisely because of their imperfections. Once the repair work is completed, we will place the golden cards bearing our frailties inside them, bringing to an end an introspective, intense and personal experience completely unlike a classic artistic workshop.
